O2 XDA Orbit 2 Reviews

4winmobile reviews the O2 XDA Orbit 2 and writes, “I’ve been honoured to have the Orbit 2 in daily use since mid-December (thanks O2) and I’m very impressed with all aspects of its design and function - The Touch FLO, Touch Cube and Camera Album systems make it a positive joy to use. It’s fast in operation, comfortable to use and sleek. As a PIM device as well as Alarm Clock, eBook Reader, Navigation System, and Messaging tool it has performed superbly…Prior to the release of the Orbit 2 the Stellar was my ‘Best ever Xda’, but the Orbit 2 again raises the Xda stakes and for me takes the crown. The full TouchFLO implementation along with the custom housing more than compensate for the QWERTY keyboard of the Stellar. The Orbit 2 is therefore a worthy and competent successor to the original Orbit.” Link.

Trusted Reviews does a review of the O2 XDA Orbit 2 and writes, “At first glance this is nothing special. The face-on shots on the O2 website depict what looks like a bog-standard Windows Mobile PDA phone. There’s a large 2.8in screen above which sits a small lens for making video calls, below which is a familiar-looking cluster of control buttons. You can see the usual pick-up and hang-up buttons, plus a couple of shortcut keys for activating the start menu and OK commands and these flank what looks like a standard five-way navigation key…A superb touchscreen with accompanying software enhancements, and the inclusion of the excellent CoPilot sat-nav software and kit, all elevate the O2 XDA Orbit 2 from potential also ran to viable choice. If you don’t need the keyboard of the TyTN II it’s a competent and reasonably priced alternative, even if it isn’t quite as compact as one might desire.” Link.

CNET UK reviews the O2 XDA Orbit 2 and writes, “While it still has an air of seriousness about it in comparison to phones like the Nokia N95 8GB, we really like the O2 Xda Orbit 2. It’s business as usual on the inside but the plethora of connectivity options make it a great choice if you always need to keep in touch…Our only word of warning would be that if you’re used to a mechanical Qwerty keypad, then switching to a touchscreen might come as a shock — try before you buy.” Link.

IT Reviews has a review of the O2 XDA Orbit 2 and they write, “For those who like to listen to music via a smartphone there is good news in that the provided headset is two-piece. It is mini USB at the device end, but has a 3.5 mm connector just past the microphone. More good news comes in the fact that the XDA Orbit 2 includes an FM radio…While it does cram in a lot of features, the XDA Orbit 2 is on the chunky side at 110mm tall, 58mm wide and a generous 15.5mm thick. It isn’t overly heavy at 130g, but you are probably going to be aware of it in your pocket or bag.” Link.
