HTC Shift Review at CNET Australia
CNET Australia reviews the HTC Shift and writes, “It sounds like there’s a lot bad to say about the Shift — in reality it’s quite fine for what it is. Unfortunately UMPC is turning out to be a really bad idea, especially in view of the price and the ever-increasing complexity and power of mobile phones…At AU$1,999 the Shift is targeting the luxury market, but this position makes no sense. If you want a small laptop, you can get an EeePC at AU$499, which covers most major functions people need. If you want a useful portable device that can SMS, browse the Web, has a unified interface with the added bonus of being able to ring people, get an iPhone. If you’re a mobile e-mail junky, then any Blackberry will rightfully put the Shift in its place.”
