CNET reviews the HTC FUZE and writes, “Armed with a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A processor and 512MB ROM and 288MB RAM, the HTC Fuze was a generally snappy device. As we already mentioned in the design section, we didn’t experience quite the delay in screen rotation or even other simple tasks. There was some of that typical sluggishness that plagues Windows Mobile smartphones, but it wasn’t anything debilitating and we didn’t suffer any system crashes or significant errors during our testing period.” Link.

PC World reviews the HTC FUZE and writes, “The feature-rich HTC Fuze for AT&T is a stylish cell phone with a responsive touch screen and a gorgeous display. But the Fuze’s sluggish performance and average keyboard proved frustrating in our tests…Overall the Fuze impresses with a gorgeous display and a variety of multimedia features, but HTC still has a few kinks to work out in the phone’s interface, performance-wise.” Link.

InfoSync reviews the HTC FUZE (AT&T) and writes, “The hallmark feature of the HTC Fuze, and all the new HTC Touch-related devices, is the new TouchFLO 3D interface. Basically, it’s an overlay that helps users avoid Windows Mobile as much as possible, all the while bringing a pretty and useful tabbed menu system to the top level. It’s kind of like a maze, where you want to stay within the boundaries, because if you accidentally fall out of the maze you’ll be in Windows Mobile land.” Link.

The truth is, there’s only so much a shell can accomplish.
