Motorola MOTO Q q9 Reviews

Pocket-lint has a review of the Motorola Q9 and writes, “If you’re used to a Windows Mobile 5 device you should be fine, however we do still personally prefer the BlackBerry interface. … Having lived with the phone for three weeks before it was announced on the 16 May in the UK we’ve warmed to the handset from our initial first impressions however don’t feel that its as easy to use as we would have liked it to be. It is stylish it is looks and the Windows Mobile 6 interface will appeal, but for us, we still prefer the BlackBerry.” Link.

TechDigest has a review of the Motorola MOTO Q 9h and writes, “Call quality was nice and clear, so you shouldn’t have a problem making out what the person on the other end of the line is trying to say. The earpiece can also go quite loud without distorting, which is useful in noisy surroundings. … Setting up email could be simpler - it’s not as simple as a BlackBerry for example - and it involves stepping through a fair few screens.” Link.

CNET UK has a review of the Motorola Q9 and writes, “There are loads of rivals out there — the BlackBerry 8800 has GPS, and the Samsung i600 and Palm Treo 750v also have Qwerty keypads, but the Q 9 beats them all on the strength of its keypad alone. It’s one of the best we have ever used. Add to that HSPDA connectivity and a decent-sized screen and you have a worthy rival to RIM and Palm’s offerings. Our only niggles are the lack of a scroll wheel and Wi-Fi, but otherwise this is one of the best smart phones around.” Link.

Trusted Reviews has a review of the Motorola Q9 and writes, “Motorola has made some interesting software choices. Pocket Internet Explorer is gone, and in its place is the very good Opera web browser. Among its features is the ability to open more than one web page at a time in different windows, something that Microsoft really should have implemented in Pocket Internet Explorer with Windows Mobile 6, but failed to do. Motorola has also chosen to eschew Mobile Office, the Word Mobile, Excel Mobile and PowerPoint Mobile suite that is newly available to Windows Mobile Smartphone users with Windows Mobile 6. Instead you get DocumentsToGo, a suite that lets you create Word documents, edit Excel, read PowerPoint and PDF files and managed Zipped archives. … The Q9 is a bit on the large side for my taste, and while its keyboard is very good the screen is a bit small. Aside from the fact that it is hampered by the lack of Wi-Fi it does its job well.” Link.

MobileBurn has a review of the Motorola Q 9h QWERTY Smartphone and writes, “As it stands, Motorola has brought out a solid performer, retaining all that was good about the original Q and adding a little more to the package. Ultimately, the individual must weigh the device up against offerings from other manufacturers like Samsung and RIM and make a personal preference call, as even though it is a brilliant handset, there are other devices that are just as good. This is easily among the best in its class.” Link.

Register Hardware has a review of the Motorola Q 9h Smartphone and they say, “Not the prettiest of smartphones and crucially lacking Wi-Fi, document editing, and GPS functions, the Moto Q 9h is nevertheless very easy to use. Its robust and well spaced keys make it easy to handle messaging and the entertainment functions outperform its uncool looks.” Link.

Laptop Mag reviews the Motorola Moto Q 9h and writes, “The Motorola Q 9h global is one of the best smart phones money can buy, especially at its limited-time price of $199 with a two-year contract. It offers very solid call quality, and unlike with the BlackBerry Curve, you get 3G data speeds and the ability to edit attachments out of the box. Although we still prefer the Curve for its smaller size and longer battery life, power users will love what this versatile device has to offer.” Link.
