CNET UK reviews the i-mate Ultimate 9502 and writes, “The i-mate Ultimate 9502 is the larger sibling of the i-mate Ultimate 8502, and shares the honour of being Australia’s first HSUPA phone. While this phone is in the same league as a Blackberry or the iPhone, be wary of Telstra’s promised internet speeds…There is no doubt the 8502 is an impressive phone, with a raft of features including full HSPA, a big high resolution touch screen and Windows Mobile 6. This phone is designed for business users — and we think i-mate have really hit the nail on the head in this market with the Ultiamte 9502…However be aware that Telstra’s advertised data rates can be taken with a grain of salt, and set up a strong password when using Secure i-Q.” Link.

Australian PC Authority does a first look review of the i-mate Ultimate 9502 and writes, “The i-mate Ultimate 9502 qualifies as a worthy successor to the 8502 and adds to an expanding i-mate range, that continues to impress. There are still a few quirks to be ironed out to achieve our highest rating, hopefully something we’ll see in future releases…As it stands, if you can deal with a bit of extra weight and size, the 9502 is worth spending a little extra over the 8502. Furthermore, the improved keyboard and screen helps the Ultimate 9502 be seen as a worthy contender in the smartphone ranks.” Link.
