i-mate Ultimate 6150 Reviews

CNET Australia reviews the i-mate Ultimate 6150 and writes, “The truth is it took a little while to get used to using the Ultimate 6150. Being forced to type with the touchscreen was a drag before we mastered it, and WM6, while practical, is just a drag. The saving grace for the Ultimate 6150 was the processing power. If every menu selection had lagged while we drilled down layer by layer we would have thrown the handset in the bin, or better still, out a window. The 6150 might be a big handset by current standards and the battery life verges on dismal, but it packs a punch and definitely out-performs the other WM6 devices we are reviewing at this time, in processing and graphics rendering.” Link.

IT Reviews has a review of the i-mate Ultimate 6150 and writes, “There aren’t too many Windows Mobile devices that can be connected to an external monitor, but the Ultimate 6150 from i-mate is one of them, as is its slightly differently designed sibling, the Ultimate 8150…Communications runs to quad-band GSM with 3G and HSDPA, and there is a front-facing camera for video calls. There is an FM radio, Wi-Fi and a 2-megapixel main camera whose lens is on the back of the casing alongside a small flash unit and self-portrait mirror. In fact, in the gamut of features that can potentially be crammed into a Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional device, all we can think of that’s missing is GPS.” Link.

Australian PC Authority reviews the i-mate Ultimate 6150 and writes, “Imate used to rebrand HTC devices but is now making its own. The Ultimate 6150 is its top end business, WM6 Professional-based smartphone. There’s no keyboard, if you need one choose the numeric-keypad-sporting but otherwise similar 8150 model. It’s 3G and supports HSDPA and in most respects resembles most other WM6-based smartphones…Ultimately, we prefer the swisher HTC p3600i (web ID: 101264) which supports GPS. However, if you’re tired of lugging a laptop round for presentations or you’re rolling out a fleet of business phones with sensitive data on them, it will prove tempting.” Link.
