HTC TyTN II Reviews
CNET UK has a review of the HTC TyTN II and here’s what they say, “This isn’t a small phone, but then neither was the original TyTN and everyone seemed to manage fine with that. Fortunately, its size is justified inasmuch as it packs a GPS sat-nav alongside all the features its predecessor had…If you’re looking for something that will keep you connected to the office, let you browse the Internet almost everywhere you go and help you navigate around town, it’s definitely worth checking out. If you want a similarly specced device that’s a little smaller, then the Nokia N95 is the phone for you.” Link.
OS News reviews the HTC TyTN II and writes, “Overall, this is a great smartphone. Possibly the best Windows Mobile phone in the market today for the price. It is not as sweet as an iPhone, but it is a phone that can definitely “do more” as there are over 20,000 applications for that platform. And that’s a big plus.” Link.
IT Reviews has a review of the HTC TyTN II and writes, “It is the tilting screen that steals the show as far as the HTC TyTN II is concerned, but there are other factors that draw us to it as well. The plentiful features, good mini keyboard and software extras all add up to make the TyTN II a strong contender in today’s mobile device arena.” Link.
Techworld reviews the HTC TyTN II and writes, “It’s hard to fault this phone. While the world’s mainstream media follow each other like sheep to drool over the Apple iPhone, you could treat yourself to one of these free - Vodafone offered me one for nothing in exchange for upgrading to a data plan - and quietly enjoy richer functionality, faster data and a heavier wallet. All you have to lose is the need to be trendy.” Link.
IT Week reviews the HTC TyTN II and writes, “HTC’s TyTN II is a Windows Mobile 6 handset that can be regarded as either a slightly large smartphone or as a compact wireless PDA. It features comprehensive wireless support and a novel sliding screen that opens up to reveal a qwerty keyboard. This design makes the device a suitable choice for mobile workers that need email access on the move and may additionally need to exchange Office documents with colleagues.” Link.
Pocket-lint reviews the HTC TyTN II and writes, “The HTC TyTN II is a brick of a mobile phone that is as about as exciting as watching paint dry. However, with so much packed into the device you can’t help think that for the geeky mobile worker open to the idea of anything that is Microsoft powered this will be a wet dream come true…So if you want oohs and arhhs when you pull this out of your pocket, look else where, if you want a Windows device that’s got more functionality than the your average laptop, this might be one for you.” Link.
PC Pro reviews the HTC TyTN II and writes, “This is a brilliant device, packing lots of leading-edge technology into a compact package. It deservedly joins its forebears as our A-Listed smartphone of choice, and will appeal to both business users and gadget freaks alike.” Link.
CNET Australia reviews the HTC TyTN II and writes, “For business users looking specifically for a Windows Mobile device the choice between handsets is much harder than in other areas of mobile phones. Most have the best connectivity options available, most have the most popular input options, including touchscreens, and most are on the wrong side of enormous and suffer poor battery life. Moreover, with the majority of these PDA-phones priced between AU$900 and AU$1,100, the choice may come down to aesthetics alone.” Link.
