BlackBerry Curve 8320
CrunchGear reviews the BlackBerry Curve 8320 and writes, “If you are upgrading from a previous QWERTY BlackBerry, you’ll be very happy with this ultra-slim and light phone. Pearl users might want to stay put — you get a little more bang and except for the QWERTY you’re looking at pretty much the same device. At $249 after rebate you’re looking at a $100 premium over a similarly outfitted Pearl or Dash. The best thing is that the Curve has Hotspot@Home capabilities for making calls while on a Wi-Fi network, an amazing boon for travelers…Overall, the Curve is a good, solid phone for a fair price. If you’re a BlackBerry fan, you can’t go wrong. If you’re a potential convert, you might just find CrackBerry religion.” Link.
PCMag reviews the BlackBerry Curve 8320 and writes, “The new RIM BlackBerry Curve 8320 ($449.99; $249.99 and up with two-year contract) for T-Mobile is the carrier’s best handheld for communication addicts, thanks to its stability, e-mail verve, and its ability to make phone calls from any Wi-Fi hot spot.” Link.
PC World reviews the BlackBerry Curve and writes, “…glitches aside, the 8320 is an excellent phone. Like all BlackBerry units, it is a stellar e-mail device, with support for ten accounts. The included camera (which sports a flash and a 3X digital zoom) took adequate but–like many camera phones–occasionally blurry snapshots. Among other multimedia features is an audio and video player that supports most formats (including MP3, AAC, WMA, WMV, and MP4). The player’s interface is basic, but audio quality is good and video looks great. The device also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot (which is inconveniently located under the phone’s battery, unfortunately)…While voice quality over Wi-Fi was only passable, the capability itself is still impressive. And combined with the 8320’s sleek design and awesome e-mail handling, it makes for a winning package.” Link.
MobileBurn reviews the BlackBerry Curve 8320 and writes, “In conclusion, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8320 and the T-Mobile @Home service work well together when your home/office and its WiFi network fit properly. You might still experience the random dropped call when leaving the house, but the vast majority of time the system works very well. But if your home or office layout is a little bit more complex, as ours is, then you have to be prepared to deal with some limitations…In any event, even if you ignore the UMA possibilities completely, the addition of WiFi to the Curve is a great thing. It makes the Curve 8320 every bit the phone that the original Curve 8300 was, and then some. As such, I give it a “Highly Recommended” rating.” Link.
PDA Street reviews the BlackBerry Curve 8320 and writes, ” Overall, the 8320 is the best BlackBerry for T-Mobile customers now available. The only thing missing is GPS, which can be found in AT&T 8820. The 8320 worked fine with a Bluetooth Global Sat GPS receiver, however.” Link.
BCHeights reviews the BlackBerry Curve 8320 and writes, “Overall, the BlackBerry Curve is the perfect offering for the student who wants the functionality of a BlackBerry with a full keyboard. HotSpot @Home from T-Mobile is a great option for those who have bad service where they live…The Curve is compact, packed with features, easy to use, and probably the best smartphone on the market for students looking for a more business-geared device.” Link.
Digital Trends reviews the BlackBerry Curve 8320 and writes, “The Blackberry Curve 8320 is light, smooth and very easy to use on all counts. It is very much in-between audiences: casual Smartphone users may find the $500 USD (without rebates) tag prohibitive, while grizzled Blackberry businesspeople may be looking at more sophisticated models. With rebates, however, the Curve is a great steal for both groups.” Link.
