Samsung SGH-i600 Reviews
Trusted Reviews has a review of the Samsung SGH-i600 and writes, “Samsung says you’ll get up to 6.5 hours of 2G talk, 3.5 hours of 3G talk, and up to 305 (very precise, that) hours on standby. My usual battery rundown test asking the Samsung SGH-i600 to play music non-stop with the screen forced on got me just over nine hours of battery life. This is pretty respectable for a Windows Mobile Smartphone. … It is a shame Samsung was not able to move to Windows Mobile 6 with this smartphone, and I’m not sure it is really sleek enough to fit into the Ultra range. But as a 3G/HSDPA, keyboarded, scroll wheeled smartphone with some good software extras it stands up well.” Link.
Lordpercy has a review of the Samsung i600 and writes, “A few days with the Samsung i600 proved that despite it using the smartphone edition is manages to behave impeccably and is great to use and navigate. The size and feel of the phone is also great and we can even work with the battery life, the camera is poor but then we doubt most users will care in this segment. Perhaps the only major drawback is the cramped keypad which limits just how long your email replies will be. With enough connectivity to keep you plugged into the world and an easy and novel user interface the Samsung i600 is a rival for the Nokia E61 and possibly a challenger to the Blackberry Pearl.” Link.
Pocket-lint has a review of the Samsung SGH-i600 and writes, “Larger than the BlackBerry Curve, the phone runs Windows Mobile 5, but a heavily customised and stylised version. With Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity for web surfing, the only thing that really lets this model down is a confusing keyboard layout and 1.3megapixel rather than 2 megapixel camera.” Link.
3G has a review of the Samsung i600 and writes, “this smartphone doesn’t use the latest 6 version but plumps for the 5.0 platform instead. This means you still get embedded Direct Push email capabilities and the obvious PIM (Personal Information Management) features. … it definitely ranks as Samsung’s best smartphone yet and has the necessary connectivity weaponry to challenge the likes of the BlackBerry, the Nokia E61i and the HTC brigade. Whether you choose it as your device will be down to personal preference and which OS and smartphone form factor you dig the most. For some, the i600’s Ultra slimline frame may be the clincher.” Link. Read more about the Samsung SGH-i600.
