Canon XH-A1 Review at DV
DV has a review of the Canon XH-A1 and writes, “Canon’s XL H1 set the resolution standard for sub-$10,000 camcorders, and the XH series camcorders uphold that standard at lower cost, weight, and size. The XH A1 offers all of the capability of the XL H1, except for lens inter-changeability and the professional Jackpack, for $4,000–only 45 percent of the H1’s price. The $7,000 XH G1 adds an improved Jackpack (HD-SDI with embedded audio and timecode, timecode I/O, genlock) but is otherwise identical to the XH A1. Both cameras offer an unprecedented degree of customizability, letting you fine-tune displays and operational controls to your needs.”
