The Hitachi DZ-HS301 camcorder is a hybrid camcorder that records video footage onto MiniDVDs but also features 8GB hard drives. Features include:

* support for DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW discs
* 2-Channel Stereo Dolby Digital
The Hitachi DZ-HS301 is expected to be available in Europe in November.
