Smooth and Fluid Videos
Creative DiVi CAM 516 is able to record high quality videos in VGA (640 x 480 pixels) resolutions up to a maximum of 30 frames per second. Users can also play back the videos captured on any TV to share with their friends and families.
High Resolution Photographs
With the new 5.1 Megapixel sensor, Creative DiVi CAM 516 is able to capture high resolution images that are fine in details and vibrant in colours. It can even capture images up to 12.0 Megapixel interpolated resolution.
With shooting modes such as Normal and Macro and a 4X digital zoom, Creative DiVi CAM 516 is easy to use even for amateur photographers.
Practical Functions
In addition to digital video recording, Creative DiVi CAM 516 functions as a MP3 player, voice recorder and even a webcam. Apart from enjoying digital music on the move, Creative DiVi CAM 516 can be used to record lectures, meetings or seminars. These media collections can be shared easily among friends and families through the USB port. Videoconferencing and messaging are also possible with the built-in webcam function.
Creative DiVi CAM 516 only requires 4 AAA batteries and has 32MB of built-in memory with an option for expansion through the Secure Digital (SD) expansion slot. Users can increase the memory storage up to 1GB for more photograph and video collections.

CNET Asia has a review up of the Creative DiVi CAM 516 and writes, “For a family night in front of the tube, users can easily set the DiVi Cam 516 to play videos and stills on the telly with the TV-out and audio cables bundled in the package. The DiVi Cam 516 can also be used as a Webcam when connected to a computer. Interestingly, the DiVi Cam 516 also boasts MP3 playback capabilities. Don’t be fooled by the camera’s -schizophrenic tendencies–this feature is impressively usable. … As a video camera, the DiVi Cam 516 has sacrificed significant image quality for convenience and ease of use. The deployment of the camera’s 4x digital zoom increased the blurriness of the picture, resulting in an unrefined, pixelated output. … The still captures taken by the DiVi Cam 516 fared better with clearer and sharper image quality. … The Creative DiVi 516 is a decent entry-level video camera that comes packed with fun multimedia features for any tech newbie’s enjoyment.” Source.
